Instructional Designer


Title: Instructional Designer
Reports To: Lead Instructional Designer / Educational Co-ordinator

Job Title: Instructional Designer

Immediate Supervisor: Lead Instructional Designer / Educational Co-ordinator

Role Description:
This is a key role in our development team. You will engage in instructional design and technical writing for a development team to deliver exceptional e-Learning course materials for various clients. The team is made up of a Subject Matter Expert (SME), a Lead Instructional Designer (Lead ID) and an ID [you], with support from a Graphic Designer (GD). You will report to the Lead ID.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
• Creating course content, materials, and assessments that meet specified learning objectives/goals
• Ensuring the instructional strategy that has been established for the project is applied to the courses
• Ensuring the design integrity of the eLearning courses is maintained by applying industry standard instructional design principles and theories in the design process
• Interacting with the SME and Lead ID in the creation of course outlines and course content including slides, instructor notes, and student guides
• Interacting with a Quality Assurance (QA) staff member in troubleshooting and eliminating problems
• Revising all course materials as per course reviews by the client and QA team
• Collaborating with the Project Manager (PM) on schedules, budgets, and deadlines (project team meetings, updating schedules, etc.)
• Assist in developing ideas and concepts for new eLearning initiatives and projects.
• Organising and maintaining of electronic / manual filing system with respect to your department’s documents.
• Handling telephone calls and messages, screening requests for meetings or appointments when required.
• Dealing with any correspondence related to instructional design and eLearning on own initiative.
• Help maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the office and facilities.
• Any other duties the company may deem appropriate to your position.

Principal Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Technical Writing or related field
• Minimum of two years experience as an ID or Technical Writer on ILT or Web-based learning projects or similar role
• Experience with Moodle, Flash, HTML and / or XML is highly desirable
• Excellent communication, analytical, writing, and visualization skills
• Experience in planning and developing training materials or experience in education, business and professional training
• Flexibility, motivation, and ability to meet deadlines

Project Manager

Reports To: Senior Project Manager / CEO

Job Title: Project Manager (Education)

Immediate Supervisor: Senior Project Manager / CEO

Role Description:
You will provide effective leadership to a development team in the delivery of exceptional
eLearning and Instructor-Led Training (ILT) solutions.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
• Planning, developing, overseeing, and implementing learning and development programs for new products
• Researching, analysing program elements, defining deliverable schedules and resource loading, and developing the structure and key elements of the program that provide skills and alignment to corporate and business functional goals
• Planning, organizing, scheduling, and empowering the work of individuals to attain required results while striving to build and maintain a dynamic learning and development culture
• Allocating appropriate resources and personnel to develop projects in coordination with the Program Manager
• Managing development schedules, budgets, and deadlines (including project team meetings and updating schedules)
• Communicating project status on a regular basis to stakeholders
• Liaising with the client, taking time to understand the client's evolving needs, developing the client relationship through effective communication and personal skills, and building trust through repeated, timely, and effective project delivery
• Managing priorities and consistently meeting deadlines
• Outsourcing partner management including selection, direction, and issue resolution
• Promoting and practicing company values in the leadership of staff and in the nurturing of a creative, innovative, and enjoyable work environment
• Contributing to the ongoing improvement of project processes
