Management Profile

Kristian O’Donovan – Co-founder and Director
Kristian attended the University of Limerick where he graduated with an Honours degree in Languages with Computing. Kristian developed skills in the area of website localisation, technical writing and e-learning. Kristian has immense experience in the Irish educational software market. He worked with TRADOS, now known as SDL, as a Quality Assurance Engineer for two years. Kristian worked with Pulse Learning where he was a member of the Quality Assurance Team for a number of Internet based e-learning packages. Kristian has a good deal of project management experience with TRADOS and Flúirse. He is credited with pioneering the development of curriculum-based Irish language interactive software.



Tomás Finneran – Co-founder and Director
Tomás attended the University of Limerick where he graduated with an Honours degree in Computer Engineering. Tomas also holds an MA in Interactive Media from UL and where represented the University at the 2004 Siena Design Project. Tomás has studied in great detail the technical and design aspects of interface and web design. He has substantial experience in project development and evaluation.



Dr. Séamus O’Donovan – Education Director
Seamus O'Donovan graduated from University of Limerick with a B.Ed Degree in P.E and Maths. He has been teaching in secondary schools for over 30 years and in 2004 completed a Masters Degree in Educational Management. He completed his doctorate in Leadership and Management in September 2007 (University of Hull Business and Enterprise faculty with Professor Brent Davies) and has also acted as an advisor on the development of Flúirse's educational products and training courses. He has also been training students at the Pitman Training Tralee centre since 2005.


Staff

Helena Cahill – Course Coordinator & Office Manager
Helena Cahill joined the Flúirse team in May 2008 as PA and Course Co-ordinator. Helena’s role in varied and has recently got involved in the daily running of Pitman. She previously held positions in companies such as FEXCO and the Institute of Technology Tralee. Helena is course coordinator for the Flúirse summer courses.



David O’Callaghan – Lead Creative Designer
David O’Callaghan graduated from Limerick School of Art and design with an Honours Degree in Design where he specialised in Graphic Design. He subsequently completed an M.A. in Interactive Media, concentrating on Flash animation and website interface design, again graduating with Honours. David worked as a Graphic Designer and subsequently as a Creative Designer with Interactive Services in 2001. David has extensive experience in working with young people, having lectured regularly on Art and Design at the Centre for talented Youth Ireland in Dublin City University. David joined Flúirse Education Solutions on a full time basis in July 2007 as our Lead Creative Designer and Animator.



Daniel Dowling – Multimedia Designer
Daniel Dowling joined the Flúirse team in April 2008 after completing his Honours Degree in Industrial Design from Sligo Institute of Technology and Honours Degree in Design in Digital Media studies in Letterkenny Institute of Technology. Daniel has experience in screen and sign design. Daniel is responsible for supporting the lead Graphic Designer in print, web and other graphic design, web and animation projects. Daniel is also responsible for all Flúirse’s video based projects.



Pitman Training Staff

Michelle Moriarty – Centre Supervisor
Michelle Moriarty joined Pitman in October 2008. Michelle is a current student with Pitman and is studying “Executive PA”. Before Pitman Michelle work in the Dingle based call centre Contact 4. Michelle is the centre supervisor in the Tralee centre and looks after the daily running of the centre which also includes assisting other students doing courses.




Breda Ryan – Centre Supervisor
Breda Joined Pitman Training in March of this year. As Breda is a previous student here she has first hand experience at been able to help student with any problems they may have.
Breda has studied a Legal Secretarial Diploma and is currently studying a PA Diploma.
