To qualify for your EPV days* you can select from any of our practical and beneficial suite of courses. The more courses you select, the more EPV days you receive:

  • 1 online course – 3 EPV days entitlement

All our courses are run in accordance with the Department of Education and Skills criteria. Courses begin on Thursday, 1st July 2021 and must be completed by Friday, 20th August 2021 at 5.00pm.

Each course requires approximately 20 hours of study. The Discussion forums are facilitated by expert moderators. When you have successfully completed your course you will receive your CPD Certificate.

    Summary of essential job functions

    You have three main areas of responsibility, as outlined in more detail in your initial induction / training programme. These are:

    1. Accounts Receivable – maintain a record of all student payments. Ensuring all student statements are accurate and emailed on a regular basis. Collection of all payments due from students as well as follow-up on bad debt and overdue payments.

    2. Accounts Payable – entry of all invoices into the company’s accounts system. Creation of creditors list and payments due by date, creditor.

    3. Management Accounting – creation of reports as outlined by company directors including but not limited to: Debtors, Creditors, Profit and Loss, Monthly Cash Received vs Cash Expenditure, Balance Sheet, weekly accounts status sheet, bad debtors report.

    4. Meeting with the Company Accountant on a regular basis to ensure all accounts are up to date as well as the preparation of year end accounts for the Company Accountant.

    These primary areas include the following more specific functions:

    5. Make/Answer telephone calls regarding accounts payable and receivable

    6. Deal with students payment concerns, questions and queries

    7. Ensure the accounts for company are maintained on a weekly basis

    8. Take students’ payments (weekly credit card payments) and maintain records of all students’ payments

    9. Working with company directors, area manager and centre manager to drive, develop and enhance the accounting processes of the business

    10. Liaising with the Centre Advisor, Centre Manager and Area Manager

    11. Maintaining detailed knowledge of the company’s products or services

    12. Ensure the book-keeping procedures are always of a high quality

    13. General day-to-day operations and activities of the centre

    14. Completion of all allocated tasks on time within working hours

    Minimum requirements

    • Pitman Training Accounting Diploma qualification (or equivalent 3rd Level Accounting or Bookkeeping Qualification)
    • Proven success in previous book-keeping role
    • Good Customer Service skills
    • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
    • Proven ability to be responsible and honest
    • Self-motivated and willing to learn
    • Good commercial awareness
    • Providing excellent customer focused service
    • Must be a well organised with proven ability to work with little supervision in a service-orientated environment
