Western Union has over 20,000 independent users at their many agent locations across the UK. As their network grew, and they operated in an increasingly compliance-driven market, the burden of delivering effective onsite training and testing became increasingly costly.
Flúirse Education Solutions were contracted to design and implement online solution to reduce these costs. Flúirse Education Solutions developed a complete e-learning site with a “portal” entry to all courses. A live comprehensive glossary was also developed. The site featured video introduction for participants for each course as well as voice over for all content. Tests were added to the end of each module with progress only available when these were completed successfully. Assignments were included at the end of each course also.
A complete registration, progress tracking and end of course feedback questionnaire were also developed for each course on the programme. Today, Western Union seamlessly deliver compliance training annually to every agent location across the UK using this system and are currently in the final stages of expanding this platform across their Nordic and Iberian territories.
