Ireland through the Ages – Teaching the History of Ireland will give teachers a recap of the crucial points in Irish history, starting from the Stone Age and working forward all the way to the modern day. In this crucial era of commemoration, there has never been a more important time to learn about how we came to be where we are.   • Look at ways Teaching the History of Ireland can be integrated with other subjects and taught actively inside and outside the classroom
  • Look at the importance of oral history, linking in with primary language curriculum.
  • Learn about the school self-evaluation guidelines and how they can bring about positive change in Teaching the History of Ireland

  • Explore the Looking At Our School framework for schools and how we can integrate its findings into teaching and learning
